Personality: Before recently, Zeno was very ill tempered and hot headed, overreacting the slightest of things. Zeno has grown a bit more mature and has learned from his good friend Agito. He has become much more calm and collected, being able to keep his cool in any situation. He is also very informal, often acting more like buddies to his suboordinates and peers. Also despite how much he's grown into himself, he can't help but to shake his infatuation with beautiful women. He is very flirtatious and acts very forward toward women, but toward women he thinks are more worthwhile in the long run he acts more romantic. Zeno keeps his friend’s coin which has Julius Cesar’s head on one side and the coliseum on the other. He often describes the coin as being unlucky, but too important to toss, he tosses the coin for deciding factors, often resulting in a decision that’s more unbeneficial with him.

Bio: Zeno was born a human in feudal Japan. A boy born to a samurai, his father was against him becoming like him despite his son¡¯s yearning to become a warrior, after some time he finally gave in ad trained Zeno. Zeno steadily became a fierce warrior like his father. Around this time, fighters of different types wore certain types of bands to classify their fame and how dangerous they were, a sort of competitive type thing. When Zeno turned 19 his father had died from another samurai with a similar fighting style. Zeno¡¯s father was infamour for his skills and was one of the most dangerous warriors at the time, the samurai was more powerful than his father it seemed. Zeno took his father¡¯s band and tied it around his head, he had hoped to take his father¡¯s blade, but the warrior had taken that instead of his band, Zeno¡¯s goal in life was set, to success and avenge his father.
Zeno had traveled all through Japan and killed countless warriors, adding their bands to his body, displaying them as badges of honor. After 10 years he had gotten a lead on the samurai to have killed his father. Zeno appeared before him, his entire body covered by bands of the warriors that fell at his hand. The warrior looked wide eyed at him in shock, then gave a sinister grin, as he knew this fight was one he was waiting for. Zeno also grinned, this was no longer an avenger mission, this was a test of skill and valor. The two engaged in battle which lasted for quite awhile before the finishing blow was delivered to Zeno, his last thoughts as a human were of him finally losing and not accomplishing his life¡¯s goal.
Zeno¡¯s time as a spirit in the world of the living was short lived as it was a short amount of time before Zeno was sent to the soul society. He spent some time living in rukongai before his lust for battle grew once again and he joined the shinigami academy. Zeno proved himself excellent in every factor from zanjutsu, to hand-to-hand combat to kido, he had even mastered his shikai shortly after meeting his spirit, which he surprisingly got along with greatly. He was assigned to the 10th squad which was the obvious choice for him at the time. He was satisfied with fighting hollows alongside his squad and training intensively when not on an assignment. After a few hundred years, he took a time of leave to train more intense than usual, and achieved his bankai state.
After returning he befriended a new shinigami in his squad, he called himself Agito. Agito noticed Zeno had a strange yearning for battle and was actually worried. As they got closer, Agito talked to Zeno, saying that bloodlust is a terrible thing that would consume him. Zeno never really took this to consideration and ignored his lessons. Zeno, Agito and some other shinigami were sent on an emergency extermination mission, they had run into a surprisingly strong group of hollows that were large in number. Zeno had been severely wounded and passed out before he could release his bankai. When he awoke he had the coin in his hand, a coin he had seen Agito with. He knew what this meant and he cried as soon as he realized it.
A few years after the incident, Zeno had finally calmed down from his lust for battle and taken on a new personality, one that resembled Agito in the largest way, becoming more calm and focused, but keeping some attributes of himself. He was requested to become a captain by the captain commander and quickly accepted.
