Valintine stood in the Rukongai of Soul Society. He was rarely here, but when he was it was always an adventure. He learned quickly that the closer you were to the Seireitei the more Shinigami there were and the stronger they were. He didn't want to fight a strong enemy today. He just wanted to relax. Course souls these days freaked out at enemies. Even if they were not threatening anyone. So he doubted he'd have a lot of time alone before a Shinigami came to him. He sighed and rolled his neck. His Arrancar outfit was again his own creation. He wore a short length white shirt, it only went down to his stomach. The torso was tight against his skin, but the arms were a bit bigger and as it went down it flared out. The entire shirt had a black trim to it. His pants were, as usual, a white hakama with a black sash. His sword was at his left hip. His feet had black boots. His eyes dully scanned the Rukongai.

Re: Zeno vs Valintine
"Ugh, another day, another routine walk." Zeno stretched as he walked out of the tenth division building. Just as it sounded, Zeno grew tired of walking the same route all day, it was pretty annoying that he had to walk around every day. However, he had to relay on these very walks to retain his sanity. As much as he loved his squad, not many of them could keep a good conversation with him, and often they were more uptight than he was as a captain. So, he was off. Of course the walk was the same as usual, nothing interesting. He didn't have much work lately, so he decided he could take a bit of a longer walk, possibly outside of the seireitei. It was decided. He exited the gate into the rukongai, it's not like he'd be missed, and if it was truly an emergency, one would send a hell butterfly. He walked about quite a distance before he felt something strange and stopped. Of all the precences, one didn't fit. It felt different, felt like a hollow. He quickly looked around and spotted the arrancar. He drew his blade and flash stepped to face the ryoka. "You, arrancar. Draw your blade." he waited for the arrancar to prepare himself.

Re: Zeno vs Valintine
Valintine felt the approach of a Shinigami. It took a bit longer than he though, but he came. Valintine sighed. This one felt powerful. They weren't worlds apart, but this man was stronger. Valintine shook his head and he let out a sigh. As the man came up to him he just looked away. He didn't answer him either. Such pushy people didn't deserve to be answered. He just continued gazing out at the Rukongai. His body was ready though. He was prepared to escape if need be. He was sure that he'd need to though. This man didn't seem like the kind who enjoyed waiting...or being denied. Both of which Valintine was making him do. Maybe he'd get lucky though and the man would just walk away. Doubtful, but even Arrancar can dream.

Re: Zeno vs Valintine
Zeno tilted his head at the arrancar's obvious refusal to act upon him. It was a hit frustrating that he would refuse such. Usually it was well against Zeno to attack someone unprepared, but whether he decided to attack or not, he was still a potential threat. He sighed then flash stepped quickly in front of his enemy, swiping down swiftly.

Re: Zeno vs Valintine
Valintine heard the sigh. His ears twitched slightly. He just shook his head. But he supposed it couldn't be helped. Maybe he would have done the same. He doubted it, but maybe just maybe. Nonetheless, the Shinigami attacked, so that sealed their fate. They were to fight, obviously. Valintine used sonido to escape the slash. He barely made it past, he felt it touch his forehead, but his hierro protected him. He appeared on a rooftop across from where he previously was. His dull eyes were fixated on the Shinigami. He still didn't draw his sword though. He wondered how this man would react to him still not drawing his blade.

Re: Zeno vs Valintine
His attack just barely missed, looks like this arrancar might actually be worth something. He slowly turned and straightened himself, facing the arrancar. He knew the fight had to happen, he kind of wanted it to happen, but if he was going to be passive it was going to get frustrating. He hadn't even pulled out his blade. He decided he'd try a little talking first now, "You have no purpose in being here arrancar. Whether you're attacking or not doesn't change your fate, leave now or prepare yourself for a fight." He waited for a reply, a small part of him hoped he would have to fight, but him leaving would be just as fine.

Re: Zeno vs Valintine
Valintine thought about responding for a moment. He just stared at the Shinigami for what seemed like an eternity before he sighed and shook his head. "Change my fate? And what is that? Are you the resident fortune teller? Doubtful. Nobody can see the future. For just looking at it changes it, as such fate is nothing real. Just something idiots like you comment on and believe in because it makes you feel powerful...also an illusion." Valintine shrugged and looked past the Shinigami again and at the view of the Rukongai. He was physically looking past the man, but he was entirely aware of his position and his actions.

Re: Zeno vs Valintine
Zeno sighed again, this was really getting irritating. He didn't want a whole philosophical view on life, he just wanted him to leave, but apparently that was too difficult. "Fine, if you're going to be so difficult, I'll have to force you to leave." He shunpoed a small distance away from the arrancar and began to slowly walk toward him. "I am Zeno, Captain of the tenth division. Prepare yourself for battle." When he got close enough he swung the blade down upon his enemy.

Re: Zeno vs Valintine
Valintine watched the man carefully as he walked towards him slowly. So he was a captain, and apart of the tenth division. Valintine didn't really care. To him, this man was just another Shinigami with a fancy title. Valintine was tired of hearing the same old thing. This man would die here today if Valintine had his way. He silently hoped the Fates allowed him to have his way. When Zeno shunpo'd and reappeared doing a downwards strike, Valintine held up his hand. This man was stronger, but he was not worlds apart. His hierro kicked in and protected him from getting cut. "You annoy me..." With his right hand he held it up pointed at his heart. He let loose a green lightning bolt.

Re: Zeno vs Valintine
Damn hierro, it was one of the traits he hated most about arrancars. The saw the guy's finger pointed at his chest, how simply sneaky. He switched his foot to lean his body to the left, dodging the attack. He groaned as he realized what type of opponent this guy was, a pain in the ass. He wasn't going to be a direct fighter and probably wouldn't use his sword as much, how fun. He switched his foot the opposite way so he could lean in to a strong kick to the chest. Hierro stopped him from being cut, it didn't stop blunt attacks.

Re: Zeno vs Valintine
The kick was unexpected, but it could be easily handled. The Exequias Captain used his right hand to grab the ankle of the Captain. He wasn't trying to stop him though, rather he went with the flow of the Captain's momentum. Letting go of the blade, the Arrancar leaned back and added his own force to Zeno's momentum. He pulled his foot along and then let go. He assumed the Captain would land on his feet or something like the. Valintine stood up and turned around to face the Captain. His hands were inside his hakama's pocket. At least it looked like that. They were close to the top so that Valintine could quickly get them out if need be. And so far, he thought that he would need them a lot more than he would like to.
