Kueshi Vs Valentine

Kueshi stood on the roof of a building that used to be owned by a major bank in New York. There was a light breeze blowing across the rooftops. Kueshi wore a white suit jacket with a black shirt underneath it. He had on a red tie and white slacks with a black belt. He was waiting for his opponent to arrive. He was due for a spar; and Valentine had offered to spar with him. Kueshi was glad, he was starting to get out of practice and could use something to toughen him up a little. The wind blew his hair off of his face just enough to see a cross shaped bone fragment between his left eye and ear. His weapon was hidden underneath the suit jacket partly, but the bottom of it prodded out down to his knees.

A garganta opened up not fifty feet away from Kueshi. Valintine Montega stepped out with his hands in his white hakama. The blueish-green haired Arrancar's shirt was a simply white tee that clung to his skin. His feather composed thin and small bangle on his right hand was exposed to the world. He stood on solidified air and just looked at Kueshi before giving him a nod. Typical of Valintine. He used more actions and gestures than words. Some hated it, some adored it, and some just didn't care as long as they weren't ignored. Valintine's zanpakuto wasn't openly seen. But that didn't mean it wasn't there.

Kueshi nodded back. He had dealt with Valentine before and was used to his silence. Kueshi drew his katana from it's sheath and looked straight at Valentine, waiting for the slightest movement. A gust of wind blew threw Kueshi's hair and a thunderbolt struck the ground maybe a half mile away. As it hit, Kueshi used Sonido to place himself behind and below Valentine; Kueshi's head was about level with the back of Valentine's knee. Kueshi swung his sword from right to left towards what was Valentine's foot. Of course he knew Valentine would evade or block his attack, but Kueshi treated sparring like a real battle. He wasn't going to wait for a referee to blow his whistle and he was going give it his damnedest to win.

Valintine wasn't distracted by the thunder. It bothered him as much as oxygen bother's fire. So when Kueshi vanished in a Sonido , Valintine was more than ready. He saw him below and flipped up and over Kueshi. When he landed he performed a sonido to take the spot Kueshi originally had. He stood there looking at Kueshi with empty eyes. Defiant eyes, that spoke his desire to win as much as Kueshi wanted to win. Valintine never joked about any fight. He wasn't someone to fight if you wanted a walk in a park. If you wanted to get better and test your skills, you called someone like Valintine. Otherwise, you could go home with a lost limb or three or worse. Valintine made no second move though. He merely stood there watching the other Arrancar for any movement.

Kueshi was a little unsure of Valentine's intentions. The man was a little bit of a puzzle, but that didn't matter. Any thoughts like that were ones that could get a man killed in battle. Kueshi held out his off hand and started charging a Cero to fire at Valentine. Even if it missed, it wasn't like he was going to harm any of the potential crop, most everybody human had evacuated new york after half of the city collapsed. The only ones left are the homeless, they get by by raiding abandoned houses and stores. Street rats... those were probably the only people Kueshi didn't have a problem with. Kueshi fired off his Cero at Valentine.

Valintine countered the cero with one of his own rather than dodge it. He could use a bit of smoke anyway. Jumping back as his enemy charged a cero, Valintine charged his own and fired it a few seconds after his enemy. The two blasts collided and tore apart a good portion of the rooftop. Using the smoke and debris for cover, Valintine held out his right hand and fired a bolt of green lightning at Kueshi. Using sonido he used the smoke again to go inside the building through the large hole in it now. He watched out from the shattered floor, monitoring the smoke carefully for any movement from the other Arrancar. Just to be safe he fire a bala in the general direction of where the male should be.

As soon as the Ceros colided with eachother creating a smokescreen, Kueshi knew Valentine would be coming. Kueshi caught a glimpse of green and knew Valentine's attack was here. Kueshi used sonido to jump upward overtop of the blast of lightning. He thought he saw Valentine moving along the roof and then dissapear. Kueshi moved a little bit closer then saw the hole with a red ball of light flying out of it. Utilizing his hierro, Kueshi slapped the balla out of the way with the back of his hand. 'so that's where you disapeared to.'

Kueshi let out a barage of balla around the hole and then spread it outward across the entire roof of the building. Even if the Balla themselves didn't do damage to Valentine, they would damage the roof and make the building collapse. Even an Arrancar would take damage from ten tons of concrete and rebar falling on his head.

Valintine swore as he saw his balla deflected. He supposed he should have seen that one coming. Sadly, he didn't have time to sit there and mope about his useless attack. Valintine felt the shake of the building before he saw the barrage of balla. He thought quickly and used sonido to get to the back of the building. He charged a quick cero. It didn't have to be big. He loosed it at only a quarter of the strength and ran out the hole in the wall just as the roof collapsed. He looked up at Kueshi with those same defiant eyes. Valintine had to give him credit. That was a nice move.

Kueshi grinned at the face Valentine was making. 'Is that surprise in his eyes? there's plenty more where that came from buddy.' Kueshi rushed in towards Valentine using Sonido. He was in front of him in one jump. Kueshi held his blade sideways and parallel to the ground at shoulder level and thrust it forward toward's the middle of his opponent's chest. Kueshi thought back many years to words Joe once told him. 'When your opponent does not make a move, people often look down upon charging blindly at them; but when you know there is an opening... you take it.' Kueshi's face changed from the grin to something much more serious. He wanted Valentine to stop fooling around and playing mind games, but while he was, Kueshi was going to get his hits in while he could.

Valintine just stared at Kueshi. He was still waiting for Kueshi to make a move again. Valintine wasn't sure of Kueshi's tolerance level for Valintine's style of fighting, but it seemed to be rather high. If it was low, he was seeming to cover it fairly well. Nonetheless, Valintine wasn't done keeping this up. When Kueshi charged at him, Valintine's body just reacted. Throwing his body to the left side, his hand shot out to smack Kueshi's blade away to the right. He didn't see if it left his hand or not, but regardless, it would probably keep him distracted for half a second at best. In that half second Valintine sonido'd away from Kueshi about fourty feet behind him. He just smiled at Kueshi with a challenging demeanor.

Kueshi spun on his front leg, using the moment of Valentine's hit to his hand to carry him around in a circular motion. On the return, he swung his sword sideways through what would have been Valentine if he hadn't used sonido to escape. Kueshi shouted out across to Valentine: "You know, it's hardly sparring if im the only one throwing punches." Kueshi couldn't help but let forward a grin. He could deal with Valentine's dodgy antics all day if he had to, but this was hardly the spar he was looking forward to.

Valintine just looked at Kueshi. He debated going for an attack but he deemed it not acceptable right now. Valintine was not done studying yet. Piecing together Kueshi's basic movements and traits. So far Valintine liked what he saw. His reaction time, battle senses, thought pattern, thought processing, it was all fantastic. The only thing missing from all this information was defending skills. But that would come later. He wanted to see what else Kueshi could come up with. So in response to Kueshi's comment he merely shrugged and said "Knowledge is power."

"true..." Kueshi thought to himself for a minute. he left his guard open on purpose, hoping to catch Valentine's atention. "I guess that means you've been gathering information on me this whole time. that says something about you that words can hardly express Valentine." Kueshi's eyes invited Valentine. 'Come to me' he thought. 'I want to feel your blade against mine.' Kueshi stared straight into Valentine's face waiting for a response. Waiting for the moment he jumped into sonido or used a cero. Kueshi chose not to reveal anything else to Valentine as far as his own arsenal without Valentine revealing something of his own.

Valintine just shrugged at his conclusion. If it was right it was right, if it was wrong it was wrong. But Valintine wasn't going to spill his secrets just like that. Not right away anyway. He stared at Kueshi. He could see that the Arrancar was leaving himself open, but Valintine didn't trust him. He didn't trust anything about him during this battle. Call him crazy or paranoid, and Valintine would tell you that it's better to be wary of your enemy and alive, rather than accepting and dead. Valintine didn't even fire a lightning bolt. He just stood there staring at Kueshi, the thunder struck again. He waited for Kueshi to strike.

As the thunder struck Kueshi began to wonder slightly. 'is he waiting for me? or is he waiting for something else?' the lack of movement on his enemy's part made Kueshi paranoid. 'what could he be waiting for?' Kueshi closed his stance back to the usual battle-ready stance he took. Sword high, knees bent ever so slightly. He let the spirit particles holding him in the air under his feet soften and harmlessly to the roof of a building with the label Moontrust Banking on it. It was the building that was held together the best in the general vicinity of Kueshi and Valentine. Solid ground was something Kueshi loved to fight on, the whole mid-air flight combat was overrated.

Valinine still didn't move. He dared not to move. This was his specialty, waiting. Even though he hated playing the waiting game, it was what must be done for it was how he operated. Valintine became less like a human, and more like a statue. His chest barely moved to signal he was breathing, and his eyes barely twitched. It wasn't a trick or showing off. It was just Valintine's style, just as waiting was. And Valintine still stood there staring, waiting, watching. He was tempted to just smile, but he didn't. Kueshi took a stance. Maybe he was expecting Valintine to move soon, or maybe he was preparing for an attack of his own. Either way, Valintine would continue to stand.

Kueshi couldn't help himself. Valentine was really starting to piss him off. The way he just stood there made him want to ring the guy's neck, but he knew that wouldn't work against Valentine. However... Kueshi used sonido, flying off of the building to a point behind and beneath Valentine, then used Sonido again quickly after the first jump to place himself directly behind him. Kueshi rammed the sword into the back of what was Valentine's head. It probably wouldn't even do anything to him, but maybe it would make him move. Just maybe realizing his opponent could get behind him would make him think twice about sitting there giving Kueshi that look. Those stone cold eyes would normally be perceived as calm and possibly even attractive, but when you were sitting there mocking somebody and ignoring their attacks you shouldn't be wearing eyes like those.

Finally, the spell was broken. Whatever binded Kueshi to his spot had let go. Valintine couldn't track him with eyes so he reached out for him with senses beyond the physical i.e pesquisa. He was barely able to keep up with him, but he managed. When he was directly behind him Valintine smiled to himself. He threw his body to the right, but turned his upper body before he even reached a horizontal position. As he did he loosed a balla aimed for Kueshi's ribs. Before he landed on another patch of air he used sonido to get down to the bank rooftop where Kueshi originally stood. He reached up to his hair and rain his hand through. Kueshi had managed to get farther in his attack than Valintine liked. Another second and he might not have been here.

As soon as Valentine moved out of the way of Kueshi’s attack and started twisting, Kueshi knew something was coming. Valentine’s balla made contact with Kueshi’s chest; it left minor burns. They stung, but they weren’t going to kill him. Kueshi was paying attention, knowing Valentine would jump into a sonido, otherwise he would be wide open where he was standing. At the moment Valentine used his sonido, Kueshi listened carefully for where he would land. ‘rooftop.’ Kueshi held out a finger to the exact spot Valentine landed his feet and fired off a special move he came up with on his own. It was a super-focused Cero beam that was less than an inch in width. From the spot he fired at, Kueshi lifted his finger up in a zigzag motion, making the cero follow the same path. It only lasted a couple seconds, but it was enough to kill if not do extreme damage to someone who wasn’t being serious. The corner of the rooftop opposite from Kueshi broke apart and fell to the street beneath, as well as the building behind that having a corner of it fall off as well as several chunks on the side.

Valintine swore as he saw the cero. It was just barely though as this cero was incredibly different than others. He had heard about it's destructive force, but had never seen it in person. It moved in exotic patterns depending on how Kueshi moved his finger. Valintine knew this was not a good thing to be in the way of. He quickly threw himself to the side, but the cero grazed the bottom of his foot. Valintine winced but landed. The landing hurt a lot, but he would live. The bottom of his foot would make things difficult, but he would have to make do. He may have to release though if it proves to be too big a problem, which it just may.

Laughter filled the air. It was the cold and calculating kind of laughter. Kueshi had managed to land the first blow on his opponent and it was one that looked like it may cause problems for the man. That didn’t mean that Kueshi had time to sit in the air laughing all day though. Kueshi made his way down to the rooftop through means of sonido, placing himself behind Valentine and slashed at his back with his own metal strong razor sharp nails. Kueshi had a bone problem similar to something out of a comic book, his bones were as strong as steel and extremely solid, thus very hard to break. It also managed to mean that things like his fingernails and toenails were also extremely hard and when filed down to a point made extremely deadly and painful weapons. Lacerations tended to hurt a lot, plus they would bleed.

Valintine's foot hurt but he didn't need his foot to counter this attack. The laughter was a burning symbol in Valintine's mind. Confidence was a powerful thing. But too much of it could get you in trouble. Valintine spun around quickly, his right hand gripped Kueshi's wrist. The downside to this was his own wrist got a few light scratches as the hand came down. Valintine didn't stop there. As he gripped the hand he attempted to flip him over and cause him to land on his back. During this though as contact was mad, he showed Kueshi why Valintine was not to be fucked with. From his hand he loosed three bolts of lightning shooting directly into Kueshi. Valintine had managed to get a hold on Kueshi, and that increased both of their danger levels. Valintine was ready. Lacerations were one thing, but the body could only handle so many shocks before it shut down.

As Valentine grabbed ahold of Kueshi’s wrist Kueshi did the same, but with his fingernails. He dug them in deep. For fingernails they weren’t particularly long, but it would still cause lots of bleeding. ‘I was really hoping to draw out this sparring a bit longer… but I guess I have to get serious now.’ Kueshi braced for the oncoming attack whatever it would be, and spat a few words at his enemy. “Rompe la tierra, Dios de la Tierra” Kueshi’s skin began to be encased in a red crystal coating that would potentially either penetrate or cover anything touching Kueshi’s skin. Before Kueshi had managed to cover himself completely with his resurreccion’s armor, he took several shocks of Valentine’s lightning. It was extremely painful and left Kueshi on the ground unable to move for a moment’s time. Kueshi’s armor finished covering his body and his sword; hopefully Valentine would either have to back off or he would take even more damage from the crystals.

Yes the nails hurt, but Valintine wouldn't let his opponent know that. He sat there and took the pain with a blank expression. He didn't need to hear screams to know the lightning hurt. His eyes narrowed at Kueshi as the words fell from his lips. He noticed the crystals growing over him, and quickly let go with a sonido backwards. He watched as the male released and he smiled flirtatiously. "I was always told making men release was my specialty..." He knew he couldn't wait long. He had only a few moments to survive in his unreleased form before he would be overpowered. Valintine stood there and waited.

Kueshi finally found the will to stand up after the shock of Valentine's lightning. "Yes, but the longer you wait to release on your own... the more overpowered you will be." Kueshi said, holding his sword outward with the pause in his words. Kueshi sprang into a sonido, jumping maybe five feet to the left of Valentine. Kueshi let off three bursts of crystal from his sword, each containing ten pencil sized pieces of razor sharp crystal. The first went in front of him, the second straight at him, and the last behind him. After firing off his three bursts of crystal, Kueshi's sword shone it's original metal. Kueshi jumped back from his opponent maybe ten feet backwards and another five upwards off of the roof.
