    Maneki / Kuroi (Good Luck / Bad Luck) Empty Maneki / Kuroi (Good Luck / Bad Luck)

    Post by Tai Tue Jun 01, 2010 12:24 am

    =====================================General information=================================

    Name: Maneki / Kuroi (Good Luck / Bad Luck - Depending on which side is in control)

    Type: Melee

    Family: Luck/Chance

    ======================================Manifestation======================================

    Appearance:
    Spoiler:

    The zanpakuto has two distinct spirits even though it's to one blade. This is because luck can be good and bad at the same time, it just depends on who's perspective it's from. For example, if a Shinigami is beating up a Hollow, it's good luck in the Shinigami's case yet at the same time it's bad luck in the Hollow's case. They share the same body, but whenever one takes full control over it, the body would change to the appearance of the one who is in charge. Mainly Maneki is the one who is in charge, but Kuroi has taken over only when she felt it is necessary.

    Maneki is the male with dark red hair and light blue eyes. He is connected with the term "Good Luck" as it is his name. He is about six feet tall and his body is lean yet muscular. He wears a pure white Victorian style shirt, which is long sleeved with ruffles around the collar and sleeves. At the throat of his shirt is a golden pendant encasing a nicely sized ruby that is a lighter shade of red then his hair. He wears a tail coat that is black with gold trimming, buttons, and details. The tail coat is long in length, just ending an inch or so right above the ground, which has adorned golden buttons and pockets. He wears fitted black trousers, black socks, and even black Victorian-styled riding boots. His whole attire feels silky smooth yet it is durable. He doesn't wear any accessories.

    Kuroi is the female with dark blue hair and light red eyes. She is connected with the term "Bad Luck" as it is in her name. She is about the same height as Rasuto and her body is curvy yet lean. She wears a textured black dress that has fastenings around the chest and thigh area, with a black rose at each of her hips. The dress doesn’t have any sleeves, has a low cut bodice, a low back. This flatters her assets as a female. The skirt part of the dress is tight on her body and has a split on either side to reveal her legs. She wears black lace gloves that goes from her upper arm down to the back her hands, these gloves have golden trimming along with a small ruby matching the shade of her eyes on the part of the glove on her upper arm. She wears black leather boots that goes up to her thighs. For accessories, she wears golden earrings with rubies and a choker with a dangling ruby.

    Personality:
    Maneki is bold, enthusiastic, and defiant. He is also very vain and would comment on the looks of others. He has a fondness for music as well as literature. He is known to speak English as well as French. He is often seen as a playboy since he is attracted to whoever most interests him at the time. He has a strong altruistic nature. He is a very optimistic and fun-loving guy, but also very determined. He motivates Rasuto to do better with every chance he has and challenges her close to the point of where she breaks down. He tends to flirt and tease Rasuto and Kuroi, always using French terms of endearment. He mainly calls Rasuto “Mon amour” which means “My love”.

    Kuroi is a lifelong pessimist and is depressed. She always blames herself if something goes wrong, even if it has nothing to deal with her. She is a self-destructive, cynical and desperate person as a whole. She is cold and uncaring to everyone, except for Rasuto. Often at odds with Maneki, they did eventually form an uneasy sort of truce, with her gradually coming to regard him as a friend or as an older brother of sorts. Even so, she is quite intelligent and wise, always hard on Maneki as well as Rasuto in how they act. Deep down, she cares deeply for both of them but is too afraid to show it.

    Inner World:
    Spoiler:

    Her inner world takes the appearance of the inside of a very fancy and full casino. There are slot machines, poker tables, blackjack tables, roulette tables, and other games you will find within a casino. The sounds of the slot machine’s arms being pulled down, the beeps as the wheels in the slot machines move, the sound of money jingling and being put into the machines, and the rare occurrence of a bell ringing which signaled a jackpot can be heard. The lights are dimmed to give a comforting warm feeling.

    ======================================Sealed======================================

    Appearance:
    Spoiler:

    Her zanpakuto is a regular sized nodachi blade but it is very detailed oriented. The scabbard is mainly purple with a cherry blossom design in a lighter shade of purple. The end of the scabbard is mainly white due to the white cherry blossom designs down there. The end also has a tiny hook that is a light purple shade. The belt cord is a light shade of purple. The hilt is decorated in purple and white. At the end of the hilt is a bunch of purple beads then white strings then a couple more of purple beads before it ends with a small purple and white colored feather. The blade itself has some cherry blossoms designed near where the hilt is. Her zanpakuto is always carried horizontally behind her, resting right above the curve of her ass, the tassel always on her left.

    Type: Nodachi

    Camouflage: None

    ======================================Shikai======================================

    Release Phrase: "Jiten...!" ("Spin...!")

    Appearance:
    Spoiler:

    Once her blade enters Shikai, it becomes much larger; the base itself simplifying to a long, rounded strip of black metal with a red orb poised at the base. Her tsuba becomes much larger and takes on a more vertical placement; the blade itself is hinged inside of the tsuba, allowing for its usual bent state to be ‘straightened’ in roulette. Such hinging offers a full 180 degree backswing when abilities are not being utilized, but locks into place once roulette is actually entered. At the front of the tsuba there are three separate panes of windowed glass, which are usually blank until its abilities are invoked, but offer a slot like spin prior to the blade being straightened.

    Ability: Essentially, her Shikai’s form has only one, multi-use ability. Ru-retto (Roulette) is entered by a swift jerk of the swords hilt, which forces the blade into straightening mode. The blade itself does not fully straighten right away, but the motion does cause the three windows to start a slot roll. When these slots have landed on a randomized selection, the sword itself changes color based on this selection, and straightens out entirely before locking. Gold signifies a massive increase in offensive power, Silver signifies a massive increase in speed, Bronze signifies a massive increase in defense, and if it remains Black, signifies no statistical increases, but rather all-around statistical decreases for those it cuts. Each Roulette can be used for as long as she deems necessary, but once it is switched out, she will be unable to activate that particular spin for one half hour following its sealing.

    Attacks: See Ability.

    ======================================Bankai======================================

    Release Phrase: "Jakkupotto...!" ("Jackpot...!")

    Appearance: There are no physical aesthetic changes to her blade when Bankai is entered, but abilities are heavily differentiated. She also gains an outfit similar to that of Kuroi.

    Ability: While her blade retains its Shikai form, its abilities are further enhanced by an increasingly risky set of rules. During said release, Rasuto gains three main methods of formal attack, which all rely heavily on luck.

    Attacks:
    *Magas Ro-ra (High Roller)*
    Probably the simplest utilization, Rasuto will open up the base of her sword, and retrieves three-pair sets of seven sided die. All must be rolled once, and must remain in effect for at least one half hour before they can be re-rolled or removed from play. The red (light red deals with defense, crimson deals with offense) dice deal with personal statistics, the blue (light blue deals with defense, dark blue deals with offense) dice deal with enemy statistics, and the black and white die deal with the + or – factor. Regular stat die possess multipliers/dividers of 10X, 20X, 30X, 40X, 50X, 75X, 100X. Black (Enemy) and White (Personal) deal with whether your factoring number is a multiplier or divider. Enemies gain one extra multiplier shot, while Rasuto gains one extra divider shot, making the probability of increasing an enemies power and decreasing one’s own a 4/3 shot.

    Offensive Die/Defensive Die Charts
    10X = 1
    20X = 2
    30X = 3
    40X = 4
    50X = 5
    75X = 6
    100X = 7

    Multiplier/Divider Die Charts
    Personal: Even numbers = Plus, Odd numbers = Minus
    Enemy: Even numbers = Minus, Odd numbers = Plus

    Integer List
    First Number: Personal Offense
    Second Number: Personal Defense
    Third Number: Enemy Offense
    Fourth Number: Enemy Defense
    Fifth Number: Personal Multiply/Divide
    Sixth Number: Enemy Multiply/Divide
    Duration: 3 posts. Cooldown: 4 posts

    *Kajino Roiyaru (Casino Royale)*
    Rasuto enters a process very similar to her Shikai’s roulette phase, though instead of changing the power of the sword itself, it creates temporary, administrative effects that affect an enemy the very moment they are cut by her phased blade. If, however, she achieves the Joker’s Wild slot, the poisoning is immediate, and will administer each of the slots debilitating effects in a slow burning manner, before ultimately causing death. It should be noted that she has an antidote developed.

    Slot Attributes
    Lucky 7s: Administers all negative effects to an enemy.
    Three Bars: Paralyzes an opponent.
    Wild Cherries: Blinds an opponent.
    Triple Bells: Deafens an opponent.
    Joker’s Wild: Administers all negative effects to herself as well as opponent.

    1-5 Integer List:
    1 = Lucky 7's
    2 = Three Bars
    3 = Wild Cherries
    4 = Triple Bells
    5 = Jokers Wild
    Duration: 3 posts. Cooldown: 4 posts

    *Toranpu Go Kaku (Five-Card Draw)*
    Rasuto tosses her blade up into the air with a spinning motion, forcing the sword into a series of perpetual back spins that revolve up to ten times before returning to her hands. During this time, five cards are ‘spit out’ from the revolving hinge mechanism, and float purposely into Rasuto’s hands; sword following the descent of the last fallen playing card. These cards are picked entirely at random, and can be combined to form various statistical boosts. Once a chosen combination is determined, these cards disintegrate, soon to be ‘absorbed’ by the sword itself, save for hearts, which are directly absorbed into Rasuto’s hands. All cards do not have to be used at once, and can be saved simply by ‘ pocketing’ them in a small salvage slot located within the hinging mechanism. It should be noted that only five cards can be in play at once, and to draw more, one must discard others. If 54 (two jokers + standard deck) are used up, this ability becomes unusable until it is given adequate time to renew itself (usually up to a weeks’ time under normal conditions). If a ruling card is drawn, it cannot be used in conjunction with any other cards unless a joker card is also applied to the running total, and a regular face card may only be utilized with one other card without the application of a joker card. All statistical advantages are temporary, and begin to wear down after the initial 10 minutes of play, making strategic utilization incredibly important, especially given the lengthy recovery period of this attack set.

    Card Attributes
    Hearts = Reiatsu
    Spades = Attack
    Diamonds = Speed
    Clubs = Defense

    Card Level Tiers
    Note: Ruling cards offer maximum benefits for attributed face card. ( Eg. Despite the Ace of Hearts being a higher tier-level advantage, the Queen whom rules said attribute will ultimately be ranked more powerfully in the realm of hearts.)

    2-6 (Low) (10-30 point boost based on attributed card. Intervals of 5pts.)
    7-10 (Moderate) (35-50 point boost based on attributed card. Intervals of 5pts.)
    Jack (Moderate-High – Rules Clubs) (60 point boost based on attributed card. If clubs, add an additional 40.)
    Queen (High-Low – Rules Hearts) (65 point boost based on attributed card. If hearts, add an additional 40.)
    King (High-Moderate – Rules Diamonds) (70 point boost based on attributed card. If diamonds, add an additional 40.)
    Ace (High-High – Rules Spades) (80 point boost based on attributed card. If Spades, add an additional 40.)
    Joker (Wild Card – Random Divider)

    Ok, I had to make 4 Dice Rolls just for her Bankai Techs and I named them all so others won't be confused and chose it by accident. So for everyone's convenience, I'll put down the dice rolls and what they mean under each Tech here.

    What it all means:
    *Tech Name*
    Tech #/Card/Suit=Dice Roll #

    *Magas Ro-ra (High Roller)*
    1=1, 2=2, etc.

    *Kajino Roiyaru (Casino Royale)*
    (Same Dice)
    Lucky 7s=1, Three Bars=2, Wild Cherries=3, Triple Bells=4, Joker’s Wild=5
    1=1,2=2, etc.

    *Toranpu Go Kaku (Five-Card Draw)*
    (2 Different Dice)
    A. Hearts=1, Spades=2, Diamonds=3, Clubs=4
    B. 2=1, 3=2, 4=3, 5=4, 6=5, 7=6, 8=7, 9=8, 10=9, Jack=10, Queen=11, King=12, Ace=13, Joker=14
