Fight of Numeros Empty Fight of Numeros

Post by Valintine Sat Jul 17, 2010 6:25 pm

Valintine sat on top of one of the man red pillars inside the great dome of Las Noches. The Exequias Captain was alone today. He had sent his team outside into Hueco Mundo for sightless training. It's easier to be blind in preexisting darkness than closing your eyes in daylight. So alone he sat shirtless, in a white hakama, black sash, and black boots. He yawned to himself. Usually an act of tiredness or boredom, but he enjoyed the solitude. It was nice, as he didn't always get to be alone. For once he was though. He didn't mind it at all. But company wouldn't be bad...assuming it was company he wanted.

Kaelos was walking about the confines of Las Noches as if she ran the place. Most of the other Arrancars knew to get out of her way as she was well known for having a short fuse and being a vicious fighter when that fuse is lit. She was dressed in her custom made outfit, her heels tapping out a soft rhythm as she walked. She was actually pacing, as she was bored out of her mind. She huffed as she sent out a wave much like a sonar to get a feel of the Reiatsu of the surrounding area as she moved. Many of those she sensed weren't a challenge enough to keep her attention. She stopped as she sensed a presence and smirked. "Heh. This will be interesting." She said to herself under her breath before she used Sonido to follow where the presence was. She soon appeared right behind the person she felt. "You. Feel like fighting?" She bluntly asked the male. Her arms were crossed over her chest as she waited for his response. Most of the time she would attack someone without warning or without them knowing she was there in the first place, but this was someone that earned her respect.

Valintine felt Kaelos before he saw her. Silently he swore under his breath. He enjoyed her company but she was a brute at heart. And incredibly cocky. But that was people for ya. When she did get near and speak he didn't immediately look at her, let alone answer her. Was he in the mood for a fight? Yeah why not. He stood up and turned to face her. He looked her up and down for a moment and shrugged. His bluish-green hair was, as usual, hiding his Hollow Mask. His Hollow Hole, due to him being shirtless, was exposed. He smiled at Kaelos. "I suppose a fight can be worked out." He stood there as the wind moved across the land. His eyes focused on this woman waiting for her to move.

She smirks as her eyes lit up some from his answer plus his smile. He was one of the few so far that she actually enjoys being in his company. “Good answer as always.” She answered as she uncrossed her arms from where they were. “Heh.” She started to rush towards him, disappearing and reappearing at different spots. She then started to send some punches at him. She was merely trying to see his reactions to her attacks. She wasn’t aiming to hurt him per say. She, like him, was just doing this to help pass the time. Why not? It always worked.

Valintine stood there as he watched Kaelos' response. Only she could ever possibly be pleased to this extent for a fight. Valintine couldn't see her due to sonido, but his pesquisa tracked her a well enough. She also came up on his "sensor" when she appeared. She wasn't moving at top speed though, which also made it easier for Valintine to block each of her strikes. On her last strike he used her own momentum to toss her back to where she started by grabbing her limb and spinning with her, letting go of her to send her flying. It wasn't a forceful toss, it was a gentle one and one she should land on her feet from. He looked at her with a questioning look in his eye. "Enjoy toying with an opponent, Kaelos?"

She smirked as she was sent flying. She knew that this was a gentle toss from him. It didn’t take too long before she landed back on the ground a few feet away from where she stood originally. She looked right back at him as he spoke. “Of course I do, Valintine. But then again this spar is mainly to help the time pass. Wouldn’t want to hurt an Arrancar that I can stand.” She rose a brow at him. “Unless you want me to step it up and get serious.” She challenged him slightly to take the bait.

Valintine looked at her as she asked the question. If anyone else saw this, they'd swear it wasn't Kaelos at all. Merely a strange Arrancar who looks exactly like her. Valintine nodded though in acceptance to the challenge. "Spar or not. Fight like your life depends on it. How can you ever expect to get better if you don't?" He arched an eyebrow at her after the question. It didn't matter to him if she answered or not. Although he doubted she would answer. He readied himself though for her onslaught to begin.

Kaelos merely rolled her beautiful blueish and purpleish eyes at Valintine as he spoke. To her, he was just preaching to the choir. That’s all words were to her. Just something you say, she always believed in actions over words. She didn’t answer his question as she moved straight at him to attack him once more. As much as she hated to admit someone else being right, he was and that just annoyed her. Her being annoyed or getting excited always made her a better fighter anyways. She smirked to herself as she knew what time it was and what that meant to her personally. Since it was close to being noon, she felt stronger then usual physically so her attacks would be stronger then usual as well. She moved at her top speed this time as she started to attack his body with kicks that ranged from his hips up to his neck. She was charging up her cero, letting it loose from her mouth only when she was as close as she could get to him.

Valintine knew he opened up the Gates to Hell now. He was more than aware of Kaelos' ability. It was a unique one, that allowed her to always be strong in some way. With her, knowing the time was critical. He noticed her sonido pick up speed as she bursted forth at him with deadly intent. Valintine barely had time to block all of her kicks. Even with a hierro he could feel the force of them shoot through his body. He knew it must be around noon time so he'd have to play this defensively or push her so she couldn't attack. On the last kick he managed to grab her leg under his arm. He was about to throw her when he noticed the cero. [colo=green]"Shit."[/color] was all he could think. He let go and jumped back, but the cero had already fired. He missed the worst of the damage, but he wasn't far away enough. He was affected by the knockback damage and as a result flew off the pillar. Her cero increased in power as well. She was a deadly opponent to be fighting during noon. Valintine hung onto the ledge of the pillar and pulled himself up. He stood there and prepared himself again. This time, he was ready to dodge or counter as need be.

Kaelos smirked and let out a laugh as she saw Valintine being flown off the pillar. She licked her bottom lip a bit as she waited for him to pull himself back up onto the pillar. She was having even more fun now. Though it annoyed her that he never attacks first, but whatever. She’ll make it so that sooner or later he would have to strike first some time during this spar. She aimed a bala at him and chased after the bala before she used sonido and disappeared to reappear right above him, firing off another bala at him.

Under normal circumstances, Valintine would have countered with a Bala of his own. But she was empowered, so that wasn't a smart move. His attacks would be devoured. So he did the only thing he could do. He rolled off to the right to avoid the attack. He sensed her above and dove forward just as the bala crashed into the ground. He rolled over and flipped up. Holding out his right hand he loosed a bolt of lightning, before using sonido to appear to her left by two feet and fire off another bolt of lightning. He wasn't going to get anywhere by playing defensive. Valintine made up his mind to fight back starting with these two simple attacks. He was suddenly happy it wasn't nighttime, otherwise he'd have a whole other problem to deal with.
